This afternoon, the Buffalo Grove Fire Department responded to a fire reported at the back of a home on Navajo Trail. Police arrived first and confirmed the fire before firefighters reached the scene. Upon arrival, the first units observed smoke coming from the rear of the ranch-style house and immediately deployed a hose line. They discovered a fire burning beneath the patio door and quickly extinguished it with one line. A second crew entered the home to check for any signs of spreading, and confirmed that the fire was fully under control.
