However, a staggering 95%[1] of all data remains untapped in engineering and construction. Autodesk Tandem leverages BIM data to map the existence and location of assets, driving digital transformation for owners by linking disparate operational systems and contextualizing them within a 3D environment—or digital twin. Last year, we introduced our digital twin solution, Autodesk Tandem, which delivers a digital twin as part of the BIM process. This year, we’re enhancing Tandem’s capabilities to monitor facility operations. Users can now connect Tandem to operational systems and data to create a digital twin that offers insights for cutting costs and boosting occupant satisfaction. For instance, Tandem can link to building management systems and environmental sensors to continuously track energy consumption patterns. This data can guide decisions on adjustments that maximize energy savings without sacrificing comfort levels. The public beta for Tandem Facility Monitoring is coming soon. --- ### Combining BIM Insights and Asset Operations in One Digital Solution The post-pandemic shift toward remote work has pushed building owners and operators to maximize facility value and improve efficiency. According to analyst firm Verdantix, 30% of facility executives prioritize cost reduction, while 22% focus on decarbonizing their building portfolios. To address these needs, Autodesk teamed up with iOffice + SpaceIQ to enable smarter facilities and better decision-making, helping the industry slash costs and reduce carbon footprints. iOffice + SpaceIQ offers the industry’s most comprehensive suite of integrated workplace and enterprise asset management solutions, focusing on the operational and performance aspects of the building lifecycle. Archibus is their integrated workplace management system (IWMS) software. The new Archibus and Autodesk AEC Collection Bundle seamlessly integrates BIM, building operations, and workplace software for centralized data management. This empowers building owners and operators to extract more value from their BIM data both upstream and downstream. They can gain critical insights using design and construction data in their operations and leverage operational data in future design decisions. This partnership strengthens Autodesk’s capabilities in operational building management, supporting customers throughout the entire building lifecycle. --- ### Info360 Plant Brings Operational Analytics to the Water Industry In the face of climate change, water and energy conservation are no longer optional—they’re essential. According to the EPA, municipalities and utilities could save up to 30% on energy costs by adopting energy-efficient practices in water and wastewater treatment plants, fostering sustainability. With Info360 Plant, Autodesk is reinforcing its commitment to securing a more sustainable water future. We’re expanding the operational and maintenance insights of the Info360 platform to water and wastewater treatment facilities. Info360 Plant is a cloud-based operational analytics platform specifically designed for the water industry by water experts. It provides real-time, automated, actionable analysis and insights to uncover and resolve issues backed by data. Info360 Plant harnesses the power of digital twins to help plant operations teams deliver clean water, shrink their carbon footprint, manage operational risks, cut operating expenses, ensure compliance, and justify facility improvement projects. --- ### Boosting Cloud Collaboration Across AEC Projects We’re also investing heavily in cloud collaboration and coordination for AEC customers to refine design workflows, spot issues earlier in the design process, and expedite project delivery times to reduce risks, costs, and achieve superior project outcomes. --- ### Protecting Intellectual Property While Enhancing Project Sharing The anytime, anywhere collaboration and project management of Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro help design teams work better with construction partners and owner clients. But while data sharing is beneficial, over-sharing can pose risks. Released in March, the Bridge tool in Autodesk Construction Cloud is available to all users of Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Build, Autodesk BIM Collaborate, Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, and Autodesk Takeoff. Engineers can now control what they share across projects and accounts. Bridge facilitates cross-account collaboration, allowing firms to store their project information securely in their own account and share it in a controlled manner, minimizing errors and reducing project risks. Today, files and sheets can be shared via Bridge, and we’re working on adding support for Design Collaboration packages. This level of project control lets users retain their data in their account or project while preventing external stakeholders from accessing it prematurely. --- ### Streamlining Civil 3D Data Management and Collaboration Effective data management and collaboration are vital for complex civil engineering projects. BIM Collaborate Pro sets the standard for how civil engineers collaborate across project teams using cloud technology. With the upcoming Desktop Connector, collaborators can access the appropriate Civil 3D project data on a web browser or their local machine faster than ever before. No matter where you work, you’ll always have the latest project updates at your fingertips. When it’s time to create production deliverables, the new cloud-first Sheet Set Manager in Autodesk Construction Cloud allows users to generate Civil 3D and AutoCAD sheet sets for drawings. With the improved Sheet Set Manager, users can more efficiently manage and edit their documentation deliverables. This includes creating, removing, reordering, and editing existing sheets. Enhanced collaboration features let users publish directly to PDF and share drawings with external stakeholders—all from the cloud. --- ### Mobile Access: Bridging the Office and Field Communication breakdowns between the office and field can hurt productivity and contribute to over $280 billion[2] in annual rework costs in the U.S. The PlanGrid Build mobile app, available to Autodesk Docs, Autodesk BIM Collaborate, and Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro users, helps bridge the information gap and enables project teams to make critical decisions faster. Teams using Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro and Autodesk Docs can access the most recent project information, navigate models in 3D, and check issue statuses—all in one place. With the new AutoCAD Web subscription, field teams can review the latest designs from their laptops or mobile devices. Teams can also view designs stored in Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Drive, and other leading cloud storage providers, and collaborate with the office through the Trace feature. Trace lets you review and provide feedback directly on DWG files without altering the original drawing. Such web and mobile support ensures the right information reaches the right people at the right time, keeping teams synchronized throughout the project lifecycle, regardless of location. --- ### Partnering for Sustainability Climate change is fueling innovation in energy generation, storage, and consumption. By 2040, 40%[3] of our energy will come from renewables. To meet these challenges head-on, Autodesk joined forces with Schneider Electric to develop an electrical engineering design solution that integrates seamlessly with Revit. This comprehensive software simplifies electrical design, analysis, and equipment sizing with real-time calculations on a single BIM platform. Advanced Electrical Design for Revit now extends BIM benefits to electrical engineers and designers, streamlining their workflows and closing critical gaps in BIM-based processes. Engineers and designers can now work in one environment to create designs that comply with local and regional standards, reduce repetitive data entry across multiple platforms, and simplify the design process with dynamically linked diagrams and automated reporting. This cohesive workflow improves execution, cuts waste and project timelines, controls costs, and boosts energy efficiency.
