At around 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, a fire broke out in a large "S"-shaped courtyard apartment building located at the corner of Lunt and Bell. Firefighters arrived quickly and contained the blaze shortly after their arrival, but it eventually escalated to a 2-11 alarm. Engine 102 was the first unit on scene and reported fire on the second floor. They can be seen below preparing to deploy the tower ladder. Truck 25 had their aerial device positioned in sector one, while Tower Ladder 21 was set up at the intersection of Lunt and Bell. The back porches were involved, but their visibility was limited due to the unique shape of the building.

When I arrived at 5:15 p.m., most of the fire had moved to the top floor and the roof, which was hard to see because of the tall trees lining the street. Rehab Unit 572 was established on Bell Street, as shown below.
