In construction, roughly 70% of rework can be traced back to the gap between design intent and actual constructability. As a project progresses, changes become increasingly complex and expensive. By prioritizing constructability during the design phase, teams can prevent costly rework later on. Since most of a project's value is established early when errors are easier to correct, ensuring accuracy from the start becomes more critical than ever—highlighting the importance of consistent communication. Today, we’re introducing several solutions designed to help project teams make informed decisions earlier without needing specialized technical skills or additional software. These new features will offer comprehensive support to assist teams in prioritizing tasks, weighing options, building on intuition, and validating assumptions, ultimately leading to better-informed choices. Let’s explore how these updates will enhance the link between design and execution. ### Access Relevant Information Through Consistent Communication For project teams, it's essential that their documents are reliable, current, and precise. Irrelevant or hard-to-find information can cause misunderstandings, conflicts, and errors. To address this, we're rolling out **Correspondence**, a tool that consolidates all project communication into one centralized source. Correspondence gives project leaders open-ended, searchable, and easily managed communications stored within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), making communication smoother and uncovering key decisions easier. Teams can generate and organize all correspondence directly from ACC and import threads from Outlook or Gmail. All communication is now easily retrievable, ensuring project quality and minimizing disputes. “The Correspondence tool is fantastic,” said Chris Rossetto, VDC Manager at Hansen Yuncken. “It has the potential to be a game-changer for us and the industry. Currently, we struggle with managing correspondence and storing project information on outdated platforms considered the norm for clients. I’m excited for what lies ahead—this might bring us closer to operating a single-platform Common Data Environment (CDE).” Additionally, since design models can overwhelm field teams, we’re launching **Model Quality Workflows**, a set of releases aimed at transforming design models into construction-ready ones. This month’s release lets anyone on the project team—from BIM managers to project engineers—curate custom views tailored for on-site teams. By providing teams with well-defined models early and frequently, field teams gain the clarity needed to boost installation efficiency. [Insert Image Caption: Advanced filters enable customization of models for office use or on-site work.] We’re also introducing the **Sheets Collection**, which helps teams organize sheets more clearly and access relevant drawings swiftly. For those overseeing projects with multiple buildings, this feature simplifies document management by storing and organizing drawings with identical names, centralizing critical construction data in one place. This eliminates the hassle of creating and managing multiple projects or prefixing sheet names. Sheets are accessible to both office and field teams for large, multi-building projects. ### Streamline Systems and Reduce Technology Overhead In the AEC industry, time is often wasted toggling between different applications for specific tasks. Many firms store information in isolated, disconnected systems, inadvertently causing delays and negatively affecting decision-making. With ACC, we aim to help customers maintain workflows within a single application and a unified system of record. To achieve this, we'll soon introduce **Bridge for Closed RFIs**, enabling users to share closed RFIs across projects or accounts via Bridge. This ensures all stakeholders receive the answers they need to make confident decisions. This capability expands the types of information that can be shared across organizations and allows teams to preserve critical information throughout the project lifecycle and beyond. Another example of our commitment to equipping construction professionals with smarter tools is the integration of the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3) into ACC this summer. The EC3 integration allows users to calculate carbon emissions without leaving their system of record and empowers teams to make more sustainable choices when selecting materials. Reducing technology management across the board boosts both productivity and the ability to make informed decisions quickly with access to the right information. > Discover how the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator now integrates with Autodesk Construction Cloud. ### Boost Individual Productivity and Maintain Project Transparency Manual processes and a disconnect between 2D and 3D workflows often result in poor decision-making, which can impact schedules and budgets. With today’s releases, we’re focusing on increasing project transparency and filtering out unnecessary information to deliver only the most pertinent details to construction teams. Enhancing individual capacity by providing simplified and relevant information at every stage of the project leads to greater overall productivity. Through ACC’s latest announcements, we’re committed to empowering more informed decision-making, delivering accurate and up-to-date project data directly to construction teams when and where they need it. Our goal is to help our customers consistently deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. > Want to learn more about Autodesk Construction Cloud?
