The project has made important achievements in "the experimental study of electromagnetic interference in the ± 1100kV split-wire based on DC corona cage and audible noise test" and "the real-world experimental study of electromagnetic environment when ± 1000kV DC line adopts primary conductor".

In recent years, with the construction and operation of UHVDC transmission lines, the electromagnetic environment caused by the conductor corona of the DC transmission line has drawn wide attention. Synthetic electric field research ion mobility and other key physical parameters selection method, 8 split wire audible noise and radio interference prediction formula and a series of key issues are lack of in-depth study, making our country ± 1100kV DC line project lacking in the necessary Electromagnetic environment technology support.

The project obtains the method and value range of parameters such as the ion mobility, recombination rate and other parameters of the DC line, and gives the calculation method of the composite electric field that is more in line with the actual situation. Through the test of a large number of wires in the corona cage, The formulas for predicting the line noise and the radio interference of ± 1100kV DC lines with 6, 8 split and 1000mm2 cross sections have been determined, and the suggestions of splitting wire types to meet the project requirements are determined to determine the minimum pole spacing, the minimum ground height of the pole conductors and the width of the corridor.

The research results of the project have been applied to the design of quasi-east-east ± 1100kV UHVDC transmission line and will provide strong technical support for the follow-up ± 1100kV UHV DC line design in China.
