On October 26, 2011, the National Petroleum and Chemical Engineering Working Conference and the Chemical Industry Federation Science and Technology Awarding Conference were held in Chengdu. The meeting proposed to accelerate scientific and technological innovation and seize a number of international scientific and technological developments. The conference also announced the 2011 China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Technology Invention Award and Science and Technology Progress Awards Program, and commended advanced individuals and companies that have made outstanding contributions to technological development and technological innovation.
Zhou Zhuye, vice president of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, summed up the new achievements in petrochemical technology innovation this year. He said that new breakthroughs have been made in the development of science and technology and technological innovation, and a number of core technologies have been achieved in major scientific and technological breakthroughs in the industry, and the introduction of technology to absorb and reinnovate; in order to accelerate structural adjustment, a number of innovative products have been developed; in modern times In the field of coal chemical industry, a number of major key technologies have been concentrated and breakthroughs have been made. There have been outstanding performances in the promotion and application of scientific and technological achievements and the use of advanced technologies to transform traditional industries. He also pointed out that seizing the commanding heights of economic and technological development has become a major trend in the world's development, which puts forward higher requirements for the scientific and technological work in the petrochemical industry. The whole industry should regard enhancing the capability of independent innovation as a central link in the structure adjustment and transfer mode, make building an innovative industry a strategic choice for sustainable development, and use technological innovation to support and lead the development of the industry.
The petrochemical federation put forward six tasks for the industry's scientific and technological work in 2012. The first is to implement the key tasks identified in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Scientific and Technological Development of the Petroleum and Chemical Industry" and to implement the Federation's annual science and technology guidance plan. The second is to focus on six key areas such as new chemical materials, energy conservation and environmental protection, bio-chemicals, modern coal chemical industry, high-end fine chemicals, and high-end equipment manufacturing, and focus on accelerating technological innovation and seizing a number of international scientific and technological developments. The third is to organize and promote a group of advanced and practical technologies to promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the industry. Mainly promote energy conservation and alternative technologies, energy cascade utilization technologies, waste comprehensive utilization technologies, clean production technologies, "zero emission" technologies, and alternative technologies for toxic and hazardous materials. The fourth is to strengthen the construction of technological innovation platforms, organize the identification of engineering laboratories and engineering technology research centers within the industry, and strengthen the construction of patent information service platforms. Fifth, highlight the status of enterprises as the main body, further improve the technological innovation system, and accelerate the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. Sixth, we will further improve the science and technology reward mechanism and set up a federation of science and technology award funds.
The General Assembly awarded trophies to five advanced individuals such as Wang Xiangzeng, who was honored with the Outstanding Contribution Award for Young Scientists and Technology in 2011, and awarded honorary certificates to 36 petrochemical federation technology invention award projects and 268 petrochemical federation scientific and technological progress award projects; 46 companies that have been awarded the China Chemical Industry Technology Innovation Model Enterprise have issued certificates.
