Since the beginning of this year, Yanta District has launched the "Tianwang Project" to enhance public safety and improve the community's sense of security. With an investment of 40 million yuan, the district has been strengthening its public security prevention and control system, gradually building a comprehensive network that involves multiple participants and covers a wide area. Following the government's strategy of "raising funds from the people, mobilizing social resources, and using a small amount of public funds," local streets, villages (communities), and units have collectively contributed nearly 40 million yuan. The initiative aims to install electronic monitoring systems in 99 villages, 85 communities, and key institutions, as well as on major urban roads. The core of this project is the technological defense system, which includes advanced video surveillance and real-time monitoring. To date, construction in 79 villages and some communities has been completed. A total of 761 video surveillance cameras have been installed, and a social electronic monitoring system has been established along 46 kilometers of fiber-optic lines, covering 14 main roads with 51 monitoring points. This system is led by community police service rooms and supported by community security patrols. Volunteers from buildings and nursing centers have also actively participated, contributing to the overall effort. In rural areas, the security center is staffed by full-time patrol officers, and 22 primary and secondary schools have police escort stations. A patrol system led by regional leaders and involving officials has been implemented. Over 10,000 officers and cadres are now patrolling the district, including district-level leadership, agency officials, 110 police cars, and bicycles. Foot patrols, combined with professional police operations and community-based prevention efforts, have significantly improved public order and strengthened the people’s sense of security. This comprehensive approach not only enhances the effectiveness of law enforcement but also fosters a stronger sense of community involvement in maintaining safety and stability.
