Downhole Motor
The downhole motor is a type of volumetric power drilling tool that operates using drilling fluid. It converts the pressure of the fluid into mechanical energy, enabling efficient drilling operations. As the drilling fluid is pumped from the mud pump, it passes through the bypass valve and enters the motor. The motor’s oil inlet and outlet drive the rotor to rotate around the stator’s axis, transferring rotational speed and torque through the cardan shaft and transmission shaft to the drill bit, allowing for effective downhole operations.
