Meanwhile, hardwood plywood imports climbed by 15.2%, reaching 927,214 cubic meters, with a value of $368.1 billion, reflecting a 19% year-over-year rise. China was the largest supplier of hardwood plywood, contributing 368,477 cubic meters, a significant 48.5% increase from the previous year. Malaysia followed closely, supplying 155,467 cubic meters, up 22.5%. Indonesia’s exports declined slightly by 11.5%, while Russia saw a modest 9% growth. Brazil's imports dropped by 33%, marking a sharp decline compared to the prior period. These figures highlight the dynamic shifts in the U.S. plywood market during this time.
